Restauration d'une armoire Hollandaise du XVII - Ebeniste Gabriel Avignon

Restoration of a 17th century Dutch armoire : Light-coloured fruit and boxwood marquetry on a black background. Moulding ornamented with guilloches in coromandel ebony. The imposing cornice of one sole piece caps the structure of the entirely dismantable armoire.
Particularity: the central column that masks the revolving lock.

Restauration d'une commode Régence - Ebeniste Gabriel - Avignon

Restoration of a Regency commode in the “tombeau” form with curved outlines and rose- and kingwood marquetry in the enclosed areas. A top of pinkish breccia marble, gilded bronze from the period. 1st quarter of the 18th century.

Restauration d'un bureau dos d'âne d'époque XVIII - Ebeniste Gabriel Avignon

Restoration of an 18th century “donkey back” desk inlaid walnut veneer and floral cut-outs in wood. Restoration of the raised or missing veneers. Leather conserved, but given a new sheen. Like most secretaries and desks the secret drawers were enclosed under all the drawers composing the interior of the desk (the theatre).

Restauration bureau XVIII - Ebeniste Gabriel Avignon

Restoration of a panelled desk called a "Table de Changeur", kingwood veneer in frieze. A top forming a flap and an inner pigeonhole and divers compartments. A rare piece of furniture from the Regency period. Work was done on the frame and the marquetry - French polish - bronzes regilded with gold leaf and patinated - circa 1730 - 1740.

Restauration Bonheur du Jour - Ebeniste Gabriel Avignon

Restoration of a ladies’ writing desk called a "Bonheur du Jour" - fruitwood marquetry on a rosewood background and a floral décor motif in boxwood - 2nd half of the 18th century.

Restauration armoire en marqueterie - Ebeniste Gabriel Avignon

Restoration of an armoire inlaid with fruitwood on a background of rose - and kingwood, stamped "BON DURAND", accepted as a master cabinetmaker in 1764. The cracked parts of the façade and on the sides were restored after removing the veneer on those parts. It turns out to be a mix of local wood (pear - boxwood - cherry) and tropical varieties (amaranth, rosewood, kingwood, lemon tree)
